About the Journal

The Iranian Journal of Translation Studies is a double-blind peer reviewed academic journal focusing on translation and interpreting studies, and is ranked as Academic-Research by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology (MSRT). Translation Studies is a quarterly, distributed under the terms and conditions of the Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0 license).

The journal welcomes contributions of original research papers, case studies and reviews on translation issues and prioritizes unpublished contributions. We will not publish translated papers, interviews, translation criticism, or translation didactics. That is, we do not intend to translate, edit, or teach translation, nor do we aim to criticise and evaluate translations. Instead, we want to focus on original research and investigate all issues related to translation, including cultural, historical, linguistic, literary, and technological issues.

The journal follows the code of ethics laid out by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and complies with the highest ethical standards. By submitting a paper to Translation Studies, the authors represent that their text and any illustrations thereto comply with national and international copyright laws. The authors release and hold Translation Studies harmless from any claims or liabilities under such laws.

Quotations from any article published herein are permitted as long as proper reference is clearly made to the Iranian Journal of Translation Studies as the original source.
