Manipulation in the Twenty First Century English Translations of Qur’anic Verses About Jihad, Warfare, and Martyrdom

چکیده

قرآن مجيد کتاب آسمانی دین اسلام می‌باشد که جهت راهنمايی انسانها ازسوی خداوند به زبان عرب بر حضرت محمد (ص) نازل شده است. بدين ترتيب ترجمه‌های قرآن می‌توانند يكی از بهترين منابع جهت آشنايی افراد با آموزه‌های دين اسلام باشند. با اين حال تحقيقات نشان داده‌اند كه بسياری از ترجمه‌های قرآن دارای تغييرات و دستكاری های فراوان نسبت به متن اصلی هستند. تحقيق حاضر با طراحی يك تقسيم بندی دستكاری بر اساس تقسيم بندی دوكات (٢٠٠٧) به بررسی دخل و تصرفهای صورت گرفته نسبت به متن اصلی در هفتاد و شش ترجمۀ مستقيم انگليسی قرآن كريم از هشتاد آيۀ مربوط به موضوعات جهاد، جنگ و شهادت پرداخت. چاپ اول تمامی اين ترجمه‌ها در قرن فعلی (سالهای ٢٠٢۳–٢٠٠٠) منتشر شده است. پس از تحليل داده‌ها مشخص شد راهبرد افزايش تكميلی بينشان بيشترين و راهبرد تضعيف كمترين فراوانی را در ميان ترجمه‌ها دارا هستند. همچنين بسامد استفاده از پنج راهبرد اصلی دستكاری در ترجمه‌های صورت گرفته توسط مترجمان مسلمان چهار گروه/فرقۀ مختلف كاملاً يكسان است.
