Representation of Ideology and Power in Translation
Abstract
The paper starts with a review of literature on the role of ideology in translation followed by a discussion about the conceptual nature of ideology. Then it goes on to focus on the ideological dimensions of translation within the theoretical framework of 'critical discourse analysis' and ends up in the presentation of a few samples of 'ideological orientations' in translation.Published
