House's Newly Revised Translation Quality Assessment Model in Practice: A Case Study
Abstract
This study, concerning Julian House's (2015) newly revised Translation Quality Assessment model, aimed at two things: first, to pinpoint some of the developments in this revised model as compared with the previous version and second, to apply it to a Persian translation of Chomskey's Media Control to estimate its viability. The results of the application of the model indicates that the translation, by Sari Aslani, has fallen short of fulfilling the functions of the source text. Furthermore, House's new model proved practical in assessing political translations.Published
